ABOUT ME

Flow occurs when our inner self, our true essence, meshes with our outer life; the two come together seamlessly like sprockets on a wheel. We develop flow by understanding who we are, and developing our skills of attention span, focus and awareness, thereby reducing the influence of external events.

I’m Joel. Financial Advisor. Fitness & Yoga Instructor. Life Coach. Rock Climber. Cyclist. Adventurer. Mindfulness Practitioner.

I founded ENRICH to integrate financial wellness, physical wellness and spiritual wellness.

Backstory
When I turned 50 I was hit with five traumatic events simultaneously that sent me into a tailspin. Each of these alone are considered highly stressful events. I refer to that period as my “abyss”. I was determined not to remain there and sought help from numerous sources. With time, a lot of reading, a lot of soul searching and some excellent counselling, I managed to pull myself out of the hole. I thought I was healed, but I was only healed on the surface. I subsequently allowed myself to be drawn into a toxic relationship. It brought me to fresh lows. It took all my inner strength to step away, and that is when the real healing began. I did a lot of inner work, discovered my true essence, and found a sense of enlightenment. From this point, life has only gotten better. After a challenging hike in Vermont, I realised that sitting behind a desk no longer served me. So, I made plans to transition into something different. By pulling together my various interests, I have created Enrich, a place where others can learn, grow and find their fulfilment. I have tools to recognise my negative patterns and manage my ebbs and flows. I have a true sense of appreciation and gratitude. I have connected relationships and I live with a sense of joy and fulfilment.

Putting it together
Now I share what I have learned with my clients. I know the questions to ask to draw out from people their true motivations and inner drivers. I listen intently and demonstrate a sense of presence that most people have never experienced. I have resources and practices that pull together multiple sources of wellness so that our sense of abundance grows. Who would have thought my life crashing apart would be the inspiration to create a practice of encouragement, enrichment and enlightenment.

Time spent in nature
Time spent in nature is rejuvenating for the body, mind and soul. Physically it reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, and boosts our immune system. The tranquility of natural settings facilitates mindfulness, leading to a deeper sense of harmony. Being in nature also has profound spiritual effects. It cultivates a sense of awe, gratitude, and connection to something greater than oneself, fostering introspection and inner peace.
